This plant is categorized as a heavy Nantes type.
Yellowstone-
Yellowstone carrots have roots that are deeper in color compared to other yellow carrot varieties. The tops of these carrots are strong and vigorous, allowing them to compete well with weeds. In terms of size, Yellowstone carrots typically grow to be 6-8 inches long. When compared to the Yellowbunch variety, Yellowstone is shorter and has a slightly blunter tip. Additionally, Yellowstone carrots tend to mature earlier than Yellowbunch carrots.Dragon-Renowned for its stunning deep magenta hue and robust, Chantenay-style shape, the distinctive carrot captivates with its vibrant appearance. Upon slicing, one is greeted with a delightful surprise of either orange or yellow flesh, and sometimes a combination of both. What sets the Dragon carrot apart is its remarkably thin and smooth skin, making it effortless to rinse and serve without peeling, unlike other purple varieties. Its roots exhibit excellent durability in field conditions, while the tops demonstrate strong and vigorous growth during the early stages, effectively competing with weeds. It's important to note that the internal color may vary. On average, the Dragon carrot measures 5-7 inches in length. This remarkable cultivar originally emerged from the breeding efforts of Dr. John Navazio, a distinguished member of our team. It is a cross between the Kuroda and Chantenay types.
